Experience

Winston spent the last 15 years driving business development initiatives in the Latin American region for Grant Thornton International Ltd (GTIL), one of the leading mid-tier firms. 

One of his main achievements was the building and strengthening of the LATAM tax and BPS capabilities as well as working collaboratively with all member firms in order to increase their international client base.

Winston has first-hand experience in dealing with cross-border businesses. Throughout his career he has lived in Brazil, Ecuador, US and the UK.  In addition, he has always had an interest in languages and cultures.

Qualifications

Winston transformed the Grant Thornton tax and BPS (Business Process Solutions) practices in LATAM. He sat on both tax and BPS regional committees and worked closely with the regional leaders of both communities in order to upgrade their capabilities.  

During this period, and as part of the implementation of a global strategy, Winston turned his focus to inorganic growth where he was able to assist member firms in the identification, negotiation and onboarding of M&A candidates and lateral hires through market intelligence gathering.

He has a vast business knowledge of LATAM and is well positioned to further any company’s footprint in the region.

Winston has also extensive experience in the identification and development of key account programs.  Since July 2020 he leads business development at LAS

Professional education

Winston has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a minor in International Studies from Southern Methodist University in Texas, USA.
